Linux and the AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB sticks |

These devices don't have a Linux driver at the moment and thus no driver is attached to them. The USB subsystem will show it like this in /proc/bus/usb/devices:
T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=07 Cnt=01 Dev#= 6 Spd=480 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=ff Prot=ff MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=057c ProdID=5601 Rev= 1.00 S: Manufacturer=AVM GmbH S: Product=WLAN USB Device S: SerialNumber=00040Exxxxxx C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=500mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=ff Prot=ff Driver=(none) E: Ad=01(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 512 Ivl=0ms E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 512 Ivl=0ms |
The SerialNumber is the same as the Ethernet MAC address and in the example above the non OUI parts are replaced with xxxxxx.
According to some forums on the Internet this device uses a Texas Instruments TNETW1450 chip.
The version 04/20/2005,1.0.2.0 should also work with the latest NdisWrapper.
